![]() ![]() “The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD,” Proverbs 16:1. ![]() What I believe that many, and probably most, fail to truly understand, is that God is in the business of bringing this nation to its knees, and no matter how great our plan or vision is, it will quickly dissolve when judgment falls. And I believe, unfortunately, that the divisions that exist among many have widened more than they have ever been, and this will continue. God’s plan is not that some would be given preferential treatment, but that all would come to know Him, whether rich or poor, no matter what the color of their skin, or background is.Īnd yet we should well know that there is a huge disparity economically, unlike perhaps at any time in history. It should be about showing compassion and mercy to the hurting and the down trodden. The vision should not be about making a nation great again, but of rekindling a reverence for God. But as we may well know, some of these freedoms are being eroded away every day. Each of us is entitled to live in a land safely, where we can earn a living from the sweat of our brow, and provide a home for our families. We hear about our freedoms that we are all entitled to. One can perish emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually. ![]() One doesn’t need to physically die or go away, in order to perish. People can perish in more ways than just one. But I truly wonder if either one of our choices will align with a vision for the people, and will be one that would keep us from perishing. Soon, we have the opportunity to decide who has the best vision for this nation. Without a rudder, a ship is left without a direction, and it never would come back to its harbor. For without a sound, vivid picture, and design, for one’s future, then we are left as a leaf that would be blown about by the wind. This statement was true when it was written down at the time of Solomon, and it is as true now as it ever could be. And yet, are their agendas and plans aligned with God’s? There are perhaps many different ideas and plans that some have that would lead a nation or land, forward in its progress. But not just any vision will do to keep the people from perishing. Many of us know this verse quite well, and we often quote it. “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint But he that keepeth the law, happy is he,” Proverbs 29:18. ![]()
